The works on site were carried out for Redrow Homes which was a mixed site of new and refurbished buildings.
The architecturally important site, was full of old industrial relics where these were uncovered the local authority conservation department removed them from site for restoration and eventual exhibition.
The decayed timber trusses were to be retained, where possible and repaired as necessary with resin timber engineering as supplied by Rotafix and installed by PRS, to restore the structural strength.
Water-proofing works also carried out to the building to help create an integral car parking area.
Fungal decay and installation of new DPC were undertaken to the original retained walls during the refurbishment.
